Tips on a Radio PSA

Nichole Tate reporting live on air at WDBZ-AM.
Here is an example of a Public Service Announcement.  This PSA was wrote and produced by myself on  behalf of the Charleston Soup Stop.   Also, I have included the original that correlates with the audio announcement. I have included a link to another example that includes the use of sound effects.

ANNCR:                                            Looking for a nice hot meal in Charleston? Come eat with us at the Charleston Soup Stop!
Our mission is to provide a nutritious meal, in a friendly atmosphere, to anyone who is hungry.
We are located at the Presbyterian Church and operate Mondays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Soup Stop Volunteers are the heart of our operation.  Help our community by providing free hot meals to the Charleston community.  Contact Linda at (217) 348- 1677.

It is easy to get wrapped up while producing and writing a script.  Just remember to keep it simple. You only have 30 seconds ( or less!) to get your information across to the public in the most efficient way possible.
